Imagined by Chris Claremont, Arthur Adams, Marc Silvestri, Ann Nocenti, Jubilation Lee debuted in The Uncanny X-Men # 244 (May 1989). Daughter of Chinese immigrant parents who lost everything in the stock exchange, she was raised by family friends who were killed by two hit-mem. Sent to the orphanage, she ran away and floated in a mall before being immortalized as Wolverine's sidekick in early 1990s. Jubilee is a member of the human subspecies known as mutants, born with superhuman abilities. She can generate pyrotechnic energy blasts from her hands.
