Pearl is so weird

Steven Universe is an American cartoon series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It is the maturing story of a boy, Steven Universe, who lives with the Crystal Gems - magical humanoid aliens. The so-called Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst - in the fictional city of Beach City. Steven, who is a gem, has adventures with his friends and helps the gems protect the world from their own kind. Steven Universe premiered on November 4, 2013 and is the first animated cartoon program created exclusively by a woman. The themes of the series include love and family. Books, comics and a video game based on the series have been released, and a movie, announced on July 21, is under development.
